In the construction industry, especially in hot seasons, a major challenge facing concrete pouring projects is how to effectively control the temperature of concrete to ensure structural strength and durability. Under high temperatures, rapid dehydration and heat generation of concrete may cause cracking, affecting the quality of the project.

1.Cold water system/cooling tower: The chiller is capable of providing cold and iced water at constant temperature, flow and pressure. The chiller has a completely independent refrigeration system, which is not affected by air temperature and environment, and can carry out high-precision and high-efficiency temperature control. The chiller has an independent water circulation system, which can save a lot of water. Cooling tower reduces water temperature through natural evaporation of water and heat exchange with air, it is an independent heat exchange equipment, which is usually used in conjunction with chilled water system to improve cooling efficiency.


2.Flake ice machine ice system: used to make ice, the flake ice produced by the flake ice machine has a larger contact surface area compared to other shapes of ice due to its flat shape characteristics, which makes the flake ice 2 to 5 times higher than other shapes of ice in terms of refrigeration effect. Ice machine can not only adapt to temperate and subtropical climate, but also can operate efficiently in hot tropical climatic conditions, widely used in concrete mixing plant rapid gravel cooling.

4.Ice Delivery System: Delivering ice from the ice storage to the concrete production area to be cooled ensures a smooth cooling process. Screw Ice Delivery Programme are better and more economical for transporting flake ice over short distances. Icemedal Refrigeration can supply both open and ducted screws that are hot-dip galvanised. Screw conveyors can deliver flake ice to two locations at the same time, making them the most effective in-line and overhead ice delivery device, with a single screw up to 25 metres long. By connecting a number of screw machines in parallel, it is possible to design and produce ice conveying devices with different conveying distances and capacities according to requirements


5.Weighing System: Weighs the ice to ensure an accurate amount of ice is used each time, thus controlling the temperature and cooling effect of the concrete. Weighing devices are available as spiral weighers and starter weighers. Spiral weighers are fully automatic weighing systems made of stainless steel. The spiral weigher with weighing device can feed the weighed flake ice directly into the gas conveying device. The weighing range is from 200 to 3000 kg. The starter weigher, where the weighed flake ice can be dropped onto a belt conveyor, has a weighing range of 550kg to 850 kg.



The combined use of these systems effectively reduces the temperature of concrete and promotes its rapid setting by providing chilled water and ice, while improving the quality and durability of concrete.
