Direct Cooling Block Ice Machine Cleaning Operation Guide

Direct cooling block ice machine is simple to operate, easy to use, and the ice making process is fully automatic. It also occupies a small area, is easy to install, and can be transported as a whole. Therefore, it is more widely used. In addition to being used in traditional aquatic preservation, vegetable and fruit transportation, factory cooling, and chemical cooling, it is particularly suitable for corporate and personal use. It is also widely used in new industries such as chemical dyes, ice storage, low-temperature cold water, and cold energy recovery.

Good maintenance of machinery and equipment plays a key role in the performance and life of the equipment. Ice-making equipment should be maintained and managed by specialized department personnel (trained by our company). We should pay attention to the training of new personnel after the change of maintenance personnel to ensure the good operation and maintenance of the ice-making machine. The following accessories of the automatic block ice machine need to be cleaned in time during the application process:

1.Water tank cleaning

The cooling tower and condenser should be cleaned when the compressor high pressure is higher than 16 kg, the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet water pipes of the cooling tower is less than 3°C, or the ice making time is extended. The cooling tower and water pump should be kept clean without any foreign matter accumulation. If sediment does appear (foreign matter or clay accumulation is large), it should be thoroughly cleaned.

The specific cleaning steps are as follows:

• Stop the machine and turn off the main power.

• Release all the water in the cooling tower through the drain valve, clean the dirt in the water tank with detergent and a long-handled brush, and rinse with clean water several times until there is no dirt.

• Inject new water until the liquid level reaches the point where the float valve stops supplying water, then you can start the machine for use.

2、Aluminum plate evaporator cleaning

In the case of long-term use, a small amount of dirt will accumulate on the outer wall of the evaporator, which needs to be cleaned regularly. The frequency of cleaning depends on the water quality. In areas with extremely hard water (the lime content in the local water is too high), it is necessary to clean it every 3-6 months, while in areas with normal or "soft" water, twice a year is enough.

The specific cleaning steps are as follows:

• Seal the lifting platform, add citric acid to water, and then add it into the aluminum plate evaporator through a water pump. Use a brush to clean it when necessary.

• After cleaning, drain the dirty water and inject new water again to wash away the remaining detergent, then release the second water. Repeat this process for more than two times to ensure that the detergent has been rinsed away.

3.Condenser cleaning

During the operation of the condenser, the cooling water will produce scale inside the pipe, which will affect the heat exchange effect. It should be cleaned frequently to improve the refrigeration efficiency. The frequency of cleaning depends on the water quality. In areas with extremely hard water, it is necessary to clean it every three months, while in areas with normal or "soft" water, it only needs to be cleaned twice a year. In order to make the machine run smoothly and protect the service life of the machine. The cooling water tower should also be cleaned in time to ensure the efficiency of ice making.

• Stop the machine and clean the cooling tower with a brush.

• If the cooling tower is higher than the condenser, drain the cooling tower water first or close the condenser and cooling tower water inlet and outlet valves.

• Open the drain valve under the condenser to drain the water in the condenser.
