Ice Making Principle of Ice Tube Machine

The ice-making part of the ice tube machine is the evaporator, which is composed of many vertical parallel steel tubes. The deflector on the top of the evaporator sprinkles water evenly into each steel tube in a spiral manner. The excess water is collected by the water tank at the bottom and pumped back to the evaporator by the water pump. Refrigerant flows in the outer space of the steel tube and exchanges heat with the water in the tube. The water in the tube gradually cools down and turns into ice. When the thickness of the tube ice reaches the desired value, the water automatically stops flowing. The hot gas of the refrigerant will enter the evaporator to melt the tube ice and fall off. When the tube ice falls, the ice cutting mechanism operates to cut the tube ice into the set size.

Tube ice maker can be divided into two categories according to daily output (according to international practice working conditions: dry bulb temperature 33℃, water inlet temperature 20℃). Large tube ice maker have a daily ice output ranging from 10 tons to a maximum of 100 tons, and most of them are composite structures and need to be equipped with cooling towers.
